仲弓问仁，子曰：〝出门如见大宾，使民如承大祭。已所不欲，勿施于人。在邦无怨，在家无怨。〞仲弓曰：〝雍虽不敏，请事斯语矣。〞

仲弓询问什么是仁，孔子说：〝出仕于国家做事要像接待贵宾一样严肃认真，役使老百姓如同当祭典一样小心谨慎，凡自己不喜欢的就不要强加给别人。要做到在朝廷中没有怨恨，在家庭里也没有怨恨。仲弓说：〝我虽然迟钝，也要奉行您的教导。〞
【English Translation】
Zhong Gong asked about benevolence. Confucius answered saying: "When in public, act as if you are in audience with an honoured guest. In directing the masses, act as if you are conducting a great sacrificial ceremony. Never impose the things one does not like on others, or harbour bitterness in one’s heart at home and in court. "
Zhong Gong said: "Although I’m dull, I must try to observe these things.
