【原文】

子曰：〝博学于文，约之以礼，亦可以弗畔矣夫！〞

孔子说：〝君子广泛地学习文典籍，并用礼来约束自己的言行，就可避免离经叛道。〞

【English Translation】

Confucius said：“A gentleman who learns extensively,  reads widely and regulates himself with the rites will not go  beyond limits. "
